Both account types give you access to the community library and all core features. Choose the option that best fits your needs—you can always upgrade or invite team members later.
Navigating Your Prompt Library
Once you're signed in, you'll land on your Prompt Library. This is your central hub for all prompts. Here's what you'll find:
What's in Your Prompt Library
Your Prompt Library contains three main collections:
- Your Prompts: All prompts you've created yourself
- Shared with You: Prompts that other team members or community members have shared with you
- Favorites: Prompts you've marked as favorites for quick access
All of these are accessible from your main library view, making it easy to find exactly what you need.
Step 2: Search and Filter Prompts
Finding the right prompt is easy with PromptCrew's powerful search and filter options:
- Search Feature: Use the search bar to find prompts by keywords, content, or description
- Category Filter: Filter prompts by category using the picklist (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Support, Product Development)
- Tags: Prompts can be tagged with multiple labels, and tags are fully searchable. Use tags to find prompts by specific use cases or topics
- Sort Options: Organize your view by:
- Most Liked: See the most popular prompts first

- Recent: View the newest prompts at the top
- Direction Filters: Choose ascending or descending order for any sort option
Step 3: Viewing a Prompt
Click on any prompt in your library to view its full details. You'll see:
- The complete prompt text
- Variables and context used
- Usage statistics and likes
- Comments and feedback from other users
- Version history (if applicable)
- Options to edit, share, favorite, or execute the prompt
Creating Your First Prompt
Step 4: Access the Prompt Builder
To create a new prompt, click the "Create Prompt" button. This opens the Prompt Builder, your workspace for crafting effective prompts.
Step 5: Write Your Prompt
In the Prompt Builder, start by writing your prompt text. Be specific about what you want the AI to do, including:
- The task or goal
- Desired output format
- Tone and style requirements
- Any specific constraints or guidelines
Step 6: Add Variables
Variables make your prompts reusable. In the Prompt Builder, you can add variables that will be filled in each time you use the prompt. Use curly braces to define variables: {variableName}.
For example, a prompt might include variables like {customerName}, {productType}, or {tone}. When you execute the prompt, you'll be prompted to fill in these values.
Step 7: Add Context
Context provides additional information that helps the AI understand your specific situation. In the Prompt Builder, you can:
- Add inline context specific to this prompt
- Select from your Context Repository—reusable context you've saved previously
- Create new context that can be saved to your repository for future use
The Context Repository is designed to be reusable across multiple prompts, saving you time and ensuring consistency. Common context might include company information, brand guidelines, product details, or target audience characteristics.
Step 8: Save Your Draft
Don't worry about perfecting your prompt on the first try. The Prompt Builder allows you to save drafts, so you can:
- Work on prompts over multiple sessions
- Iterate and refine without losing your progress
- Test different versions before finalizing
Simply click "Save Draft" to preserve your work. You can return to edit it anytime from your Prompt Library.

The AI Prompt Builder provides specific, actionable suggestions with explanations, helping you understand not just what to change, but why. You can accept suggestions individually or apply multiple improvements at once.
Step 10: Save and Publish Your Prompt
Once you're satisfied with your prompt, save it to your library. You can:
